Terri Delgado

Terri Delgado's tenure with AWF goes back to its inception over 30 years ago. A personal, mature, friendly attitude makes working with Terri a great experience from start to finish.

Throughout this time she has continued to educate herself in all aspects of hardwood flooring and design.

Emmanuel Gaxiola

Emmanuel Gaxiola joined the Advanced team in 2006. With over 20 years of residential and commercial flooring experience. He’s always about learning and teaching others along the way. Specializing in custom projects that many find difficult. He’s up for the challenge. Some even called him a self-proclaimed wood nerd.
From New Remodels to Historic Renovations. He loves working in his field. When not at work he enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his family.

Jeff Blair

Has been in the construction business since 1978. Focusing on the wood flooring industry he joined the advanced wood floor family. He has shown knowledge and professionalism throughout many projects. Commercial, residential, new construction and remodeling.

He continually impresses with his attentiveness and accessibility.

Jeff is married to Stacy Blair, he has three children and 5 grandchildren who he is extremely proud of and loves dearly.

He loves music and continues to enjoy playing the drums in different groups throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Moira Gibbons

In 1997, Moira made a decision to move away from corporate America in order to pursue a career in construction. What began as a desire to avoid wearing pantyhose, facilitated her new career path with Advanced Wood Floors. She endeavored to learned the hardwood flooring industry from the ground up, and that, coupled with her background in corporate business protocols, has propelled Moira into a powerful asset to Advanced Wood Floors and her clients. Over her 25 years, she has become an expert in high-end residential, historic, and specialized commercial projects. Moira maintains an extensive clientele including many of San Antonio's most prestigious builders and designers, overseeing each project with a very hands-on and experienced approach.

Katie Steinhour

Katie Steinhour has been a part of the Advanced Wood Floors sales team since 2011. In addition to her experience in the flooring industry, Katie has also led the design team for a high-end custom home builder. She is proud to have been awarded accolades from the Home Builders Association for her design work in the Parade of Homes. As the proud mother of 5 children and 4 grandchildren, Katie understands the busy lifestyles of today. She provides herself in finding the perfect product to fit you design taste, lifestyle and budget. Katie looks forward to working with you on your new construction, renovation or restoration project.

Cheryl Akin

I've been with Advanced Wood Floors and Sunn Carpets for about 35 years specializing in commercial flooring.  Advanced was just an installation crew when I joined the companies. I'm married with 3 children, 1 step daughter and 10 wonderful beautiful smart grandchildren. I enjoy working with my referral and loyal repeat clients from all the years.....that is the reason I continue to work!

Chris Byrom

Chris Byrom has 35 years’ experience working in all aspects of the flooring industry. She opened and ran a successful flooring company for 18 years while raising her son. Chris joined the Advanced Wood Floors family in 2014. She enjoys helping clients with all wood flooring projects, remodel or insurance , new construction or sand and finish restoration jobs.

Stacy Blair

Stacy Blair started her Decorating/Design Career in 1986, she has had many wonderful opportunities in the construction world. Working in the flooring industry, glass design and owning her own Design Business which she has run for 29 years.

She has always taken a very personal approach when working with clients. She feels that when working in someone’s home and that person trusting you in their home is extremely important. She works really hard to over exceed the clients’ expectations.

She is married to Jeff Blair, and is so proud of her three children, her Son, Justin, Daughter In Law, Loren and two Daughters, Kiersten, Son In Law, Cory and Cassidy along with five Grandchildren.

Fernando Ruiz

Fernando is our most recent addition to the sales team but certainly not a stranger to the world of hardwood floors. He hit the ground running 5 years ago as a helper but quickly asserted himself as much more. He is the true definition of a multi-tasker and loves to engage with our customers. He is passionate about every project and goes the extra mile to stay involved during his projects. By becoming bona certified, he also specializes in our maintenance program. Fernando’s upbeat and positive attitude has thrilled our clients and we are excited to see him thriving with our company.

Owners

Glynn Nickerson and Bob Wexler worked together in the hardwood flooring industry here in South Texas for over 3 decades. Utilizing very different and diverse personalities, they created an extremely successful partnership and friendship over the years. Both brought unique skills and experience to Advanced Wood Floors. Bob retired in 2020 but Glynn and his team continue to build and expand a locally owned business that's committed to top-notch service and continual growth.

Those who had the privilege of knowing and working with Jim miss him greatly. A man who gave 110% in all things, he was especially dedicated to his work and his love of the hardwood floor industry. His memory lives on with us still and we are grateful for the wisdom that he left in this last letter.
